兀 = 一 + 儿 : Mnemonic symbol: A 胡兀尔, a kind of Asian fiddle with four strings, in Chinese more commonly known as 四胡. 胡兀尔 is the Chinese transliteration for the Mongolian name of this type of fiddle.

西 = 兀 + 囗 : Mnemonic symbol: for "the wild west" I choose a cowboy hat. To me, 西 also kind of looks like a cowboy hat: 囗 looks like the brim and 兀 looks like the crown of the cowboy hat.

Xi Shi (xi) went crazy from the loneliness in outer space. In front of the space station (Ø1), she sits inside of a large plastic enclosure (囗), wearing a cowboy hat (西) and playing a 胡兀尔 (兀) fiddle, thinking that she's participating in a square dance in the wild west (西).

脑 = 亠 + 凶 + 月 : Napoleon (n) and the moon (月) lost their minds in the aorta's living room (ao3) and put their brains (脑) in the middle of the room. Now they're dancing around their brains in a weird ceremony. They put on vicious demon masks (凶) and are wearing large berets (亠) while they dance around their brains.

凶 = 乂 + 凵 : Mnemonic symbol: a vicious (凶) demon mask. Xu Xian (xu) tried out an electric demon mask (凶) in front of the engine ((e)ng1), but now he can't take it off anymore. He already tried to pull the cable out of the receptacle (凵), but it didn't work. Maybe he has more luck using pliers (乂) to pull at the mask.

乂 = 丿 + ㇏ : Mnemonic symbol: 乂 looks like pliers. Maud Younger (y) is using pliers (乂) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4) to regulate (乂) and control (乂) the water flow of the sink. Using the pliers she has to pull a lot of bananas (丿) and fingers (㇏) out of the sink.

Xu is for Xu Xian.

岁 = 夕 + 山 : Susan Spider meets a bat (夕) in the bathroom of the Eiffel Tower (ei4). They make a bet: The one who is older (岁) will be allowed to eat the other using a fork (山).

出 = 屮 + 凵 : Mnemonic symbol: 出 tilted 90 degrees looks like "EE". "EE" is an abbreviation for "emergency exit". In front of the space station (Ø1) Chantal Chicken (chu) plugged her thornbush (屮) into a receptacle (凵), but it short circuited and immediately caught fire. Chantal has no option but to use the emergency exit (出) she came out of to go back into the space station.

Mnemonic symbol: a dinosaur bone. Sheldon Shrimp (shu) found a gorgeous dinosaur bone (丨) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4) and is cracking it open to eat its bone marrow.

山 = 丨 + 凵 : Mnemonic symbol: 山 looks like the tip of a fork. Sherlock Holmes (sh) is climbing a mountain (山) in front of the anthill (an1). He uses a dinosaur bone (〡) as walking stick, and to have better grip he attached a fork (山) to its tip. Unfortunately he accidentally sticks the fork into a receptacle (凵) on the ground of the mountain and gets shocked.

屮 = 凵 + 丨 : Mnemonic symbol: I don't know but somehow I have to think of a thornbush when looking at this character. Maybe because it looks so spiky. To make things interesting let's say this represents a burning thornbush talking to people.

The burning thornbush (屮) tells Charlie Chaplin (ch) not to stick dinosaur bones (丨) into receptacles (凵) in the elevator's bathroom (e4) but Charlie won't listen.
