国 = 囗 + 玉 : Mnemonic symbol: a nation's flag. Let's say the Chinese flag.

In the observatory's kitchen (o2) Gitta Giraffe (gu) is practising her ballet performance. She got a whole crate (囗) full of jade bracelets (玉) and flags (国) and fixed one flag to each jade bracelet. 人 = 丿 + ㇏ : Mnemonic symbol: Neanderthal Man (人). Robinson Crusoe (r-) is looking for snacks in the encampment's kitchen (-en2) when he suddenly spots Neanderthal Man (人). Neanderthal Man offers him a banana (丿), but Robinson Crusoe doesn't trust the present and pokes it with a finger (㇏).

权 = 又 + 木 : Cupid (qu) wants to display his power (权) and authority (又) in the anthill's kitchen (an2), so he beats off every needle of a Christmas tree (木) wearing boxing gloves (又).

标 = 木 + 示 : 标 is a part of 标志, the word for "logo", like the one with the famous puma.

准 = 冫 + 隹 : Julian Giant Squid is just about to eat a popsicle inside of the encampment, but in the last moment a sparrow snatches the popsicle away and shouts that it is forbidden to eat inside of the encampment.
