Mnemonic comic for 丨

亻 = 丿 + 丨 : Mnemonic symbol: Rosa Luxemburg. She's quite radical, and her name starts with "r", just like "ren2". Also, 亻appears at the left-hand side of characters, and Rosa is a leftist as well.

Robinson Crusoe (r) and Rosa Luxemburg (亻) are having their favorite snacks in the encampment's kitchen: Rosa is eating a banana (丿) and Robinson is eating a dinosaur bone (丨).

⺊ = 丨 + 一 : Mnemonic symbol: ⺊ looks a bit like a pennant.

Someone stuck a flute into the middle of a hollow dinosaur bone to conduct studies on the speed of sound. At the one end of the hollow dinosaur bone is an answering pennant, used in the International Signal Code primarily for the reply "signal is received and understood", which should be raised as soon as the person is hearing the sound made by the flute.

齐 = 文 + 丿 + 丨 : The Queen of Hearts (qi) built a drum and a gong (齐). She made the drum by carving a hole into a big book (文) and spanning a hide over the hole very evenly (齐). The gong also consists of a huge book which has been cast in bronze, and its surface is quite even (齐). 也 = 乜 + 丨 : Maud Younger (y) wants to split a dinosaur bone (丨) in half in the elevator's living room (e3) using the shovel of an excavator (也). She has to squint (乜) her eyes to precisely hit the center point of the dinosaur bone.

也 = ㇆ + 丨 + 乚 : Mnemonic symbol: an excavator. A plow and a shovel are both tools for moving earth, and an excavator can be used to dig up dinosaur bones.

Maud Younger (y) is digging for dinosaur bones (丨) in the elevator's living room (e3). First she used a plow (㇆) to destroy the floor, then she used an excavator (也) to pull out the dinosaur bone surrounded by lots of earth. Finally she uses a shovel (乚) to remove the remaining earth manually so as to not damage the precious dinosaur bone. (The stroke order is ㇆丨乚)

引 = 丨 + 弓 : In the encampment, Maud Younger draws her composite bow. She wants to shoot a dinosaur bone straight across the hall.

第 = ⺮ + 弓 + 丨 + 丿 : Dorothy Gale (di) accomplished an awesome result with her composite bow (弓) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4): She shot a banana (丿) onto a dinosaur bone (丨) so the banana was split in half, and then fired a bamboo stick (⺮) into the banana (丿) so the banana was split in half as well. Dorothy is number one (第) with the bow!

丄 = 丨 + 一 : Mnemonic symbol: a 90 degree corner clamp, because in mathematics the 丄 symbol denotes a perpendicular connection.

Sherlock Holmes (sh) is renovating the anglepod's bathroom (ang4) and joining a flute (一) to the top (丄) of a dinosaur bone (丨) using a 90 degree angle clamp (丄).

止 = ⺊ + 丨 + 一 : Mnemonic symbol: a barrier. James II of England (zh) is marking his area in the space station's living room (Ø3) with a big barrier (止), in front of which he sets up his pennant (⺊). He places a soldier left and right to the barrier, armed with a dinosaur bone (丨) and a flute (一) respectively.
