三寸不爛之舌

三 = 一 + 二 : Mnemonic symbol: a Cartesian coordinate system with three (三) axes.

Socrates (s-) is performing in front of the anthill (-an1). He created an electrical flute by attaching a large capacitor (二) to the flute (一), so that he can get the attention of all the ants. Moreover, he's balancing on a Cartesian coordinate system (三). Unfortunately, only three (三) ants stop to watch the performance.

寸 = 一 + 亅 + 丶 : Kitty Cat is playing with a petal leaf in the encampment's bathroom. She's keeping it in the air by hitting it with a flute and a crowbar. It's so much fun that she thinks to herself "thumbs up".

不 = 丆 + 卜 : Bruno Bear (bu) is setting up a wind wheel (丆) with a voodoo staff (卜) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4). He also puts a "forbidden" sign (mnemonic symbol for 不) on it, to make clear that it may not (不) be stopped.

烂 = 兰 + 火 : Sir Lancelot (l) is taking a bath in the anthill's bathroom (an4). The bathtub is sitting on a fire (火), so the water is really hot. Sir Lancelot has added a few orchids (兰) to the bath, but because the water is so warm, they're all mushy and rotten (烂).

之 = 丶 + Z : Mnemonic symbol: Sooo sleepy... "zZz" (the character looks like a "Z"). James II of England (zh) fell asleep in front of the space station (Ø1). He sleeps on a big petal leaf (丶), making loud "zZz" (之) sounds.

舌 = 千 + 口 : Sherlock Holmes (sh) used a kilogram (千) to crush mandarins (口) on the elevator's kitchen (e2) counter. He's licking up the juice with his tongue (舌).
