哲 = 口 + 折 : James II of England (zh) is getting a PhD (哲). In the elevator's kitchen (e2) he is using a folding knife (折) to peel mandarins (口), since he is investigating possible ways to map the earth and they say mapping the earth is like making the peel of a mandarin flat like a board.

人 = 丿 + ㇏ : Mnemonic symbol: Neanderthal Man (人). Robinson Crusoe (r-) is looking for snacks in the encampment's kitchen (-en2) when he suddenly spots Neanderthal Man (人). Neanderthal Man offers him a banana (丿), but Robinson Crusoe doesn't trust the present and pokes it with a finger (㇏).

其 = 目 + 八 : Mnemonic symbol: the shape of 其 looks like a watchtower. The Queen of Hearts (qi) is on lookout on the watchtower (其) in the space station's kitchen (Ø2). The Eye of Providence (目) helps her to look out for intruders. They also spread some eight balls (八) for possible intruders to trip on.
