大難不死，必有後福

大 = 一 + 人 : The big (大), huge (大) robot (mnemonic symbol for 大) is working out in the ashram's bathroom (a4). He's lifting a flute (一) to which Don Quixote (d) and Neanderthal man (人) are clinging.

难 = 又 + 隹 : Mnemonic symbol: a video game which is almost impossible to beat.

不 = 丆 + 卜 : Bruno Bear (bu) is setting up a wind wheel (丆) with a voodoo staff (卜) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4). He also puts a "forbidden" sign (mnemonic symbol for 不) on it, to make clear that it may not (不) be stopped.

死 = 匕 + 歹 : Shakespeare is scared to death when suddenly a witch attacks him with her ladle in the space station.

必 = 丿 + 心 : Mnemonic symbol: 忽必烈 [Hū​bì​liè​], Kublai Khan. Certainly (必) Kublai Khan (必) has to keep face, but he cannot hold it any longer. In the space station's bathroom (Ø4), He absolutely has to (必) tell Brunhilde (bi) his love for her strong character and offers her his heart (心). Brunhilde is a bit embarrassed because all she has to offer in return is a banana (丿). Kublai Khan feels like his heart has been crossed out (the 丿 stroke is crossing out 心 in 必).

有 = 𠂇 + 月 : Mnemonic symbol: confetti.

In an act of revolution, with a pair of scissors (𠂇) Maud Younger (y) is cutting a paper moon (月) into tiny pieces in the outhouse's living room (ou3). There is (有) only confetti (有) left over.

后 = ⺁ + 𠮛 : Mnemonic symbol: Zenobia, Queen of Palmyra. Zenobia (后) and Hamlet (h) want to bake banana bread in the outhouse's bathroom (ou4), but they don't know how. Behind (后) a banana tree (⺁) they study a scroll (𠮛) on which the recipe is written.

福 = 畐 + 礻 : Frieda Fox is preparing for the new year's festival. She put a big red sticker with a golden 福 character on the space station's door, and to prepare for the stress that her visiting parents bring she meditates wearing a monk's cowl and quietly popping bubble wrap. She looks at the golder character and prays for a good fortune.
